Economic Development & Housing/Family Stability
BHB CDC goal is to break cycles of generational poverty by empowering individuals and families with the tools, training, and opportunities to create sustainable income, launch businesses, and build generational wealth through Kingdom principles. We also are pushing to create safe, stable, and supportive housing environments where individuals and families can recover, rebuild, and thrive through structured programs, biblical guidance, and community wraparound support.
BHB CDC core strategies will consist of:
Kingdom Incubator Hub: A faith-based incubator supporting aspiring entrepreneurs from underserved communities.
Marketplace Ministry Collective: A collaborative network where business owners build partnerships and advance commerce.
“Work the Vision” Job Readiness Program: A structure employment training initiative aimed at equipping individuals with the tools for long term careers.
Community-owned Ventures: Nonprofit-operated businesses that employ and empower residents while reinvesting profits back into the program.
Transitional Housing Program: Temporary, Christ-centered housing for families overcoming homelessness, domestic violence, or addiction.
Family Support Center: A hub for strengthening families through spiritual growth, resources, and relationship restoration.
Nehemiah Rebuild initiative: Volunteer-powered home renovation and beautification projects for low income and elderly residents.
Affordable Housing Partnerships: Establishing permanent affordable housing through collaboration with developers, churches and city planners.
At BHB CDC, we are committed to empowering individuals and families through strategic economic and housing initiatives. Our economic development programs aim to train and place over 250 individuals annually, launch community-owned businesses, and create sustainable jobs that transform lives. Through housing and family stability efforts, we provide transitional housing for families, men, women and children, restore homes, develop affordable housing units, and strengthen family foundations through counseling and education. Together, we are building a stronger, more stable, and faith-filled community — one family, one job and one home at a time.
